This one is complete and well taken care of, RCA’s first solid state set! Has a power transformer for good regulation of voltage. It’s a heavy little dude. It’s KCS 153, rare then and moreso now. This set will perform well on cable and satellite or with a digital converter. Most use a DVD player with these; DVD’s of the old shows are especially popular. It’s shown working on cable. I have specialized in restoration of vintage tvs for over 25 years. Many of my sets have been rented for movies and other events. I’ve also supplied sets like this that are used in other displays. I also restore radios and sell vintage vacuum tubes and other parts from being in the business and collecting for more than 50 years. Out of college with a physics and math degree in 1967, I taught physics for 10 years at a north Dallas high school. I acquired a Master’s degree in physics. Soon, we were averaging 100 sets per month. This one has been gone through, just like we did in the early days of tv. The only tube (besides the CRT) is the HV rectifier. NOTE: there’s even a choice of rear covers-see the pictures and choose the one you want. This one will give trouble-free service for years to come.
