This is an original and very rare 1880 employee timetable issued by the Kansas City, Lawrence & Southern Railroad. This is Timetable No. 6 which takes effect on Sunday, March 28th, 1880 at 9 oclock A. This timetable is a single piece with three panels printed both sides making six pages total measuring about 9.5 x 7.75 per page. Schedules are provided for service between Kansas City, Ottawa, Cherryvale, Wellington and points in between with additional timetable schedules provided for the Lawrence Branch and the Coffeyville Branch. Also included are Rules & Regulations, Special Instructions and sections on Signals and Working of Trains. This railroad operated under the Kansas City, Lawrence & Southern Railroad name for only a short period between 1879 and 1880 when the name was changed to the Kansas City, Lawrence & Southern Kansas Railroad. The name would change a couple more times up until it was ultimately absorbed by and became part of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe.
